Another huge update... Apple should test their updates better.
In Apple's defence, we should probably point out that iOS is under hacker attack much more than the Android and Windows 7 systems.
When somebody tells you how to root your Galaxy S, Google just generally doesn't give a damn. When somebody reveals an exploit for iOS that equates to a potential security problem, Apple starts moving immediately to decide whether or not it is an important security problem and if it is, they'll patch it as quickly as reasonable.
I have tried and tried to look at and like Android devices...take it from me, your iPhone is still the best. Don't worry about it and just take the updates for what they are worth.

The current iteration of "Al-Qaeda" has only the idea driving it in common with the hierarchical Al-Qaeda of a decade ago.Bin Laden was the figurehead of the organization. Him dead is still a blow to Al-Qaeda. Was he in charge anymore probably not but it is still a big deal that he is dead.

Guess Im still pissed at Apple for discontinuing the Cube a few weeks before I could afford one!:mad:

I really hope that this mouse can better distinguish between a right and left click than the wired MM.

I'm a BMW fan and have thought about restoring an E30 or picking up an E36 M3. I personally would never buy a Countryman but the Cooper S and JCW appeals to me. I understand that this car may not appeal to some people but I personally dig it. It's very peppy and has soul. It does something for me and it's what matters. I've looked at a new BMW 335i...RWD...twin turbo. On paper it has everything a car guy would like but meh...too generic for me.
I actually love those E30s, that is why I wouldn't have an issue driving any example. At least I'd be driving a decent car or something that was when new.
I had all sorts of cars over the years, almost exclusively German premium ones but my biggest regret is not to get a 318is when I had the chance. I went for a practical E46 Touring (third in a row) and later I bought a 1983 SL280. That was a more special car but I still have a lot of admiration for those small BMW sport coupes. That is why actually, that I have high hopes about the 1 series coupes. The history is there, you can see the DNA, that's what BMW is very good at.

Are people still thinking this is coming out next week? There haven't been any other updates since this story was released and I'm starting to doubt it's going to happen on Tuesday. I'd love to know what GPU the 27" is going to have.
I'm thinking the same thing. No new iMac news all week! Makes me think it's not coming tuesday. But who knows. Wish we'd get a spec list or something. I'm guessing it's not a huge overhaul of design. Just an innards update with sandy bridge and the latest desktop processors. Hopefully some muscle in the mobile video card options.
The upgrade that I would absolutely love is a dedicated ssd for OS and frequently used apps (like a 64 gb or 128 gb drive). And then a 1tb platter for storage.

YES! I would love a iPhone on Sprint's everything plan. I know several people with Sprint smart phones and the service they provide is great for only $70! Choice is a good thing for the customer and if the iPhone 5 does have a global chipset, then wider availability would be the best way to go.

Both AAC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Audio_Coding#Licensing_and_patents) and MP3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3#Licensing_and_patent_issues) have licensing fees. It's also a complete mess on the MP3 licensing side.

why do people buy the video ipod with its tiny screen when there are other, better, video players out there already?
I have one of these (http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/cowon/a2/) and its fantastic.
IMHO, both Apple and Microsoft will have to go some way to beat the COWON A2.
I know,
A) people use the iPod video for Music first, thats why its "iPod video" not the "Video iPod". The video feature is only a bonus.
B) you can use the iTMS with the iPod video
C) Its $120 more than the iPod
D) Who the hell is COWON?!? - It's sounds like one of those "Simpsons brands" like Sorny.
When the REAL Video iPod comes out, this will be a collectable* item like a Beta VCR.
*By "Collectable" I mean - un-resell-able.
